Dr Bel Minett is a clinical psychologist who has worked in the mental health and disability field for the past 20 years. Bel obtained her Doctorate of Psychology (Clinical) at Deakin university in 2013 and has worked across both the private and public sector holding a variety of roles.
Bel specialises in child and adolescent psychology and has experience working with children and young people with a variety of presentations including anxiety, depression, trauma, autism and ADHD. She views family/caregivers as playing a pivotal role when working with children and adolescents and uses a strength based, person centred approach when determining therapeutic plans.
Bel has extensive experience in working with children who are neurodivergent and their families to provide meaningful support and interventions focused on managing emotions, support with school, transitions and daily life. Bel is familiar with supporting people who use alternate and augmentative communication devices.
